Environment Variables
Override core settings and provide deployment secrets without editing YAML.
Non-empty runtime environment values override core YAML. Boolean values use Go’s accepted boolean syntax, including true/false, 1/0, and t/f with accepted case variants. An invalid boolean stops configuration loading.

BEELZEBUB_SERVICES_CONFIG takes precedence over --conf-services. It must be a JSON array, uses the same field names as service YAML, and is validated by the same schema and procedural checks.
Installer-Only Variables
The installation script also accepts BEELZEBUB_INSTALL_REF to select a Git tag, branch, or commit and BEELZEBUB_INSTALL_DIR to choose the clone directory. Cloud URI/token and the GitHub token can also seed installer prompts. These variables control installation and are not core YAML overrides.
Never commit values containing credentials. Use your orchestrator’s secret store and restrict log, queue, and Cloud retention.
